Default M/V Kaye E. Barker

I was driving by the lakeshore today. I was hoping there would be a ship sailing by. That was the main reason I got my FZ35. There was, but it was a ways off shore. They have sailed by a lot closer than this one was. Still, the FZ35 did a great job pulling it in (at least I think so). This photo was taken using the 3MP EZ mode. The photo is straight out of the camera. The only change I made was to crop it to a 16:9 ratio. I hope you guys like it!

The ship in the photo is the Kaye E. Barker. It was heading downbound (south) on Lake Huron.

Yeah, it's pretty big. The ship in the picture is a bit over 750 feet. That seems to be about the average size of ship on the Great Lakes. Of course, there are the 1000 footers. Those are always a site to see. About a month or so ago one was sailing by real close to shore. I was kicking myself for not having my camera with me!
