Default FZ35 - Definition of ugly

Wild turkey are frequenting our backyard over the past couple of weeks. Today was the first opportunity, with reasonable light, to get some shots. It proved to be more difficult than expected. Despite not being quick like small birds, they spend very little time with limited movement.

What is there not to like about these birds? Well, ... lots!

Shot in P mode, with full 18X zoom. Limited cropping and pp. I am not very satisfied, but the best to date.

Roger, 18x with a moving subject is a hard shot to get, very well done.

Simon, what the hell is that animal?

Thanks for the comments. If I am available, and if the light is good, I would like to try again with a tripod for better control.

jjdog,... you are right about 18X and moving target. Unlike other animals that move, these turkey never stay still for more than a fraction of a second. No, not fast, just always moving to some extent.

SIMON -- your pic wins the "ugly" prize, hands down. Thanks for making the turkey look beautiful!
