Default Night Illuminations setting

Thought I'd fool around with this setting. This is full zoom (across a lake); and handheld. I was very pleased using this setting. I'll have to use my tripod & play around!

Very nice for hand-held Carol!!! Obviously with tripod, the same image will be perfect.

I was indeed surprised that it turned out at all, being handheld! I'll try again with the tripod, & post the results here.

I just can't say enough about the features of the FZ40!

Thanks catalex54; I actually have a couple taken earlier that showed the house, but I really liked the complete darkness; it just seems so serene.

Absolutely beautiful job you did on the scene, however! Wow!

I had tried before to capture this scene, & failed until I shot in the "Night Illumination" mode.

Good shots Carol, I like your 2nd better because of the extra detail in the water...

hard to choose now with the pp version from catalex
