I agree with Saly -- set up the feeder in a place with good access. I took out a window in my house, and shot some images. The distance is about 12-15 feet. I did all mine "hand held" but had the advantage of using the window sill for steadiness. This one was shot at 18X off my FZ35, with limited cropping.

In hindsight, I wish I would have taken down the green wire cage. It destroyed the picture.
