Default Water drop attempt.

Tried out the water dropping, not a great success, Manual, 3;6 at 1/1000 sec, ISO 1600, to get enough light, used flash, tried single shots, and burst mode, all on a tripod. I think it would be a good idea to try something thicker than water, milk, or perhaps oil. this is the best one of about 50. only half a dozen keepers.

This is pretty good. Did you use colored water? What was your setup?

I used a shallow 8" bowl, painted blue on the inside, with an inch of food coloured water, about 3 ft above I had a plank with a hole for my eye dropper, which I could remove to refill easily, I tested where the drops fell and focussed there, the camera on the tripod was about 9" from that point. I think I will get another bowl, a brighter one. The good part of the fun is it doesn't cost anything.

I like it! Good catch of the drop ricocheting in the water.
