Default Hi from OBX

Hi all, down at Rodanthe on the Outer Banks of North Carolina goofing off for the week. Been a beach bum most of the week. My attempt at a BIF.

Nice, I can never capture these guys in flight - what settings did you use? Did you pan the camera as the bird flew by?

Saly,

Shutter 1/1000, spot focus and used AE lock to lock the exposure prior to the shot. And yes I did pan the camera with the bird.

That is an awesome shot; the colors of the water, with the bird is beautiful. You can almost hear the waves crashing!
