Thanks all. Carol, they were all manual mode, manual focus, around f/6.3 for between 40 and 60 seconds. I use the 2 second timer to avoid shaking the camera.

Not only excellent light orb shots, but made more interesting with wonderful backdrops

So, what was wrong with the LED shot?

Thanks SquareOne. I just meant the orb itself wasn't straight. I think the guy who was spinning it had trouble stepping in the water - it was extremely dark down there.

I also like the one with the city in the background, but I must say that the one with the orb is my favourite, I love the reflection in the water.
