Default Tele Converter

Hoping somebody can ans. my question. I have a FZ20 and a Olympus 1.7x teleconverter lens. I'm thinking about a FZ40 and need to know if I can use this lens on the FZ40.

As long as it is the teleconverter with the 55mm thread size (Tcon17?), all you need is the DMW-LA extension tube/adapter. I think you need the DMW-LA5, but you better check your camera's user manual which will tell you exactly which you need. Different FZ models take different adapters.

Yes, you need the DMW-LA5 for the FZ40/45

If you can find some extra cash, then also think of the new FZ150, which would also need the DMW-LA5 (but double check to make sure).

Under no circumstances mount an adapter lens directly to the main zoom lens, you will damage the lens motor!
