Default Pacific Tree Frog

Tree frogs are extremely rare around my house because it's so dry here, so you can imagine my excitement when I found not one, but two in my yard yesterday! I've only seen one or two in the 20+ years I've lived here. These are both really small, about the size of my fingertip. They were so colorful!! (FZ35+LC55)

Really nice shots of a neat looking frog. Did a Google on these guys and found it interesting that it said they could be green, tan, reddish, gray, brown or black.

Wow! How great that you have preserved these little fellows for all time in your photos!

Beautiful closeups; I especially love the first one, with his head up!

Thanks!

Yeah jj, I did a Wiki search and found out the same thing! I had never seen this bright red/copper color before. He was iridescent and beautiful but hot very photogenic...

Carol - I got really close to him to take the shot and he was annoyed and was ready to hop away.....

Lovely frogs. You must have a good environment around your house for them to visit.
