Default Big problem with CCD sensor! FZ45

Hey Guys, I am shattered for the problem that I have discovered yesterday afternoon, in every shot there was a spot near the center (I have cleaned very well the lens, but the problem stay again)

You can see the circular spot in the water, and it is there (in the same position in every shot), I suppose that the problem is in the CCD sensor

This afternoon I have send in RMA my FZ45 to the Panasonic Center... and now I am waiting for a long period, without knowing how many time and if is possible one good solution.

I don't know if that's a sensor problem. Could it be a dust bunny?

I know??? I have seen shots of sensor problems but I don't think I ever have seen one like this. I wonder if mold can grow inside the lens?

G'day catalex

Several things mate - to best see the 'spot',
> can you shoot a blank / blue bit of sky [ie- no trees etc], camera in Aperture mode, f8 which will accentuate the spot
> no UV filter etc as well please

Within the FZ camera, it having a sealed body I can only presume that it's a tiny drop of lubricant from somewhere that has lodged onto the sensor
It is 99% a manufacturing issue and therefore a warranty job

Regards, Phil

I hope you get this resolved quickly catalex.

I don't think it's mould, I had an Olympus who's lens went mouldy. The result was the any object in the picture had a fuzzy halo around it.
