Perhaps it saw the crash landing and wanted to get away as fast as it could....

Have to agree with Dyane, great shot

A great shot. I always wonder about pictures I like: what were the settings, how did he do this...sorry, I'm always looking for help...

Thanks Bob. Shots like this are about 80% luck and 20% skill. I used shutter priority and the highest shutter speed I could and used spot focus. The hardest thing is to catch the bird in the frame.
