Leaving Trinidad (sunsets)

Trinidad said good bye with a pretty good sunset. Taking with my FZ5 from a rolly boat.

Wow, these are gorgeous images! Almost missed them because your post got pushed so far down. Really nice! What's rolly boat?

Marquzz Nov 28, 2011 5:21 PM

Thanks saly! Yup, I pushed myself down :)

A rolly boat is a boat that goes from side to side because of waves. You really need built in steady cam in your arm. Or maybe a chicken? http://hackaday.com/2010/12/11/using...s-a-steadicam/

:D

Great series Marcus. Glad that you are meeting up with the wife and son and to top it off getting a FZ150. Looking forward to your opinion on the FZ150.

It is these kinds of shots that intimidate me from posting my own sunset pictures. I did post a couple shots a few days ago, and these make mine look pretty puny! I know you have a much more interesting setting, but the quality of these are beyond anything I've been able to capture.

What great shots you have made! How much improvement did you get with the tonemapping?

Thanks all!

I'm basicly using tonemapping to make the pictures look like what I see with my eye, sometimes the camera get it almost right, sometimes it misses on the exposure and white balance. The above ones are not so different from what i get sooc.

Great series - No.4 is my fave, an excellent shot.
