Default More of Brisbane by Night

I went out with a couple of other guys on Sunday night to photograph the city:

1. At low tide, climbed down into the rocks and mud at the river's edge and took this through the mangroves. Used the flash on -2 to get a little bit of light on the foreground branches:

2. The huge lights that illuminate the big ferris wheel. Quite a few insects seemed to be getting fried by them:

3. I've photographed this cicada sculpture before - wanted to get it from a higher spot so climbed up on a wall with the tripod; there are no other spots short of climbing a tree or something:

4. I photographed this location a year ago when I first got my fz40, but in daylight. This was flash at +2 to light the sculpture:

Beautiful! I love #1 and #4! #4 is especially nice with the people sitting on the bench; gives it a great feeling!

Thanks for all the comments. Carol, the people on the bench do add something but unfortunately the woman moved a bit and it looks like she has no head - we considered asking them to be more considerate and sit still

All very cool shots...well done! Did you use night scene or any other scene mode or the usual P/A/S/M?
