Default FZ accessories

Does anyone have any opinions on this kit?

It looks good but would I need anything else to make these lenses work? Are they crappy quality? I don't know much about aftermarket stuff like this. Any advice is welcome.

Or this.

It looks like I could get that, with the LA5 adapter and it comes with rings to step from the 58 to 55. Is that right?

I personally have not used either kit; however, I tend to stay away from these "kits"; as the "lens'" may not be very good quality, and included usually are items you don't need or want. Perhaps others have tried them, & found them to be good; hopefully they will chime it.

I don't want to sound negative, but both 'bundles' are offering 2 lenses for under $40, which means they will be single element lenses, which unfortunately means they will be soft at best.

Personally I would stay clear of these bundles, as csa says you also get stuff you would seldom use

G'day sumx

These "lens-accessory kits" have been around for some time, in one form or another, and like you, when I first saw them I wondered what they were like
Like anything, you must try it out and see whether it's too good to be true or whether it's a half-decent set of optics

Here's the results of my optics set ...

1- using the 2x tele attachment

2- A side-by-side shot showing the 2x lens resolution versus the camera at the same zoom

3- an indoors shot using the wide angle adapter ~ note the edge sharpness

4- the same indoors using the $250 Kodak 0,7x wide-angle lens

Conclusions- you get what you pay for, no doubt about it
-but- if you want to have a bit of fun and do some experimentation, you might find that some of the bits or a lens might give you some "interesting" results. Only one way to find out .... your choice !!
