Default Fz100 Moon Eclipse

Shots from the eclipse today

1) ahhhhh here comes my fav pic this shot was very hard to compose !! know y ? search in google for eclipse photos and u can never find a pic where both the shadow part and the bright part is visible when the moon is half eclipsed ! either the brighter or the darker side is visible but somehow managed to get both HAPPY !


After the moon was in complete shadow of the earth

I had the same second shot too, good i didn't post.
Can you explain your 'somehow' managing to get the first shot? To me, it looks like two separate shots joined by superimposing one half over the other (the moon can never look like this during eclipse).

ha ha bulls eye !!!!! yup thats a HDR actually ! used exposure bracketing to capture both shadowed part(+2 ev) and highlighted part (0 ev) in shutter priority with exposure time 1 sec and single click merging in photoshop !
most importantly shot in raw which allows you to get details from shadowed part !
