not always an easy subject to photograph. i happened to have my camera with (as i often do) and i live right near an airport. on my way home from picking my daughter up from school i pulled the car over and grabbed this one coming into land. not a great photo or anywhere near as good as yours grounded, but i think it emphesizes the difficulty in "grabbing" quick shots of aircraft. still find them terribly interesting even if the settings are not perfect

i hope you dont mind me adding a picture to your post, grounded. i just thought it topical to the discussion in highlighting my point. and i like both pictures regardless of settings.
