Default South American visitor.

Lucky shot, the plane was quite high, with My FZ50 set on shutter priority, 1/1000 sec, EZ +2, area focus. WB cloudy,(I find I get a warmer pic with this setting) it exposed at F 4'5. Hand held with stabiliser mode 2. Re-sized and unsharp mask in paint shop pro 7.

Great result Grounded, I've not seen much better on dedicated 'plane sites' and they use dslr, long lens and sturdy tripods.

Okay we are getting a bit carry away with that last statement. Airliner.net and jetphotos.net are not easy to get a photo approve for their site. They have very define guild lines for acceptance of a photo.

This is for example accepted high altitude photo.

Sorry for the inability to share the enthusiasm, but I am unable to appreciate the picture quality everyone is praising. To me it appears a little out of focus and hazy. I amy not do better but have seen a lot better. May be it is my computer screen. Need to see.

You are quite right Wise, this is nowhere near good enough for airliners , nor is it one of my better aircraft shots, I posted it as a grab shot, If I was going to photograph aircraft seriously I would visit an airport.
