Default Found some new Birds (FZ35+LT55)

Apparently because of the change in season, I found some new birds I had not seen before. Plus some old friends These are all with FZ35+LT55 handheld.

#1 Double Crested Cormorant - I had not seen them here before at the LA Arboretum....

#2 Pied-billed Grege - I had never seen one of these anywhere, so cute!!

#3 Belted Kingfisher - I know these are fairly common in some parts of the country but I had NEVER seen one before! I acted like a total fool running from tree to tree chasing him! This was the closest I could get, about 60 feet, cropped.

#4 California Thrasher - Fairly common here. He uses that huge beak to dig up soil looking for food.

#5 Canadian Goose - Very common this time of the year, but I liked the way the water looked.

Fantastic saly, nice that you have found some "new birds".
Particularly like #1 - singing a duet or having a laugh at a private joke!

Thanks Simon, Gordy, Alex!!!

Jim, yes geese like all other large birds are REALLY messy! I really have to watch my step when photographing them!

banksy - yeah, I think the lower one is saying "hey did you hear the one about.....?"
