Default FZ150 - Can it do infrared?

Just wondering:

Is the FZ150 sensitive to IR?

Please post example shots.

I tried searching Flickr for examples and didn't find anything.

Thank you,
Neal

Dear Neal, i think it is not a matter of the camera but the filter:

Catalex:

I'm aware of the IR filter and how the IR filter works. I've done IR photography with other cameras in the past. What I'm really asking is if the FZ150 is sensitive to IR light. There are cameras that are more sensitive to IR than others and better suited for IR photography.

Sorry I did not realize!
In all digital machines are inserted in the production phase the filters IR "hot mirror".

This is an example with a modified FZ50 and an IR filter Hoya:

Those are really great shots!

I have used modified dSLR cameras in the past (Nikon D70). These cameras are modified to shoot IR hand-held and can only shoot IR (they can no longer shoot normal images).

The last camera I know that had IR capability was the (now ancient) Sony V3. Most cameras these days will record IR images simply through an IR filter such as the Hoya R72. I don't have the FZ150 but you can buy the R72 and give it a try.
