Default Savannah GA with FZ35

We had flown down to GA see our son's Bootcamp graduation and made a visit to Savannah before coming home. I got up at 6am and took the FZ35 out to see the Riverwalk, while fighting my lens fogging up every few min was still able to get a few fun shots!

In #1 the tracks really draw you up the unevenness of the cobble street. In the last shot - is that the bridge that takes you over to Tybee Island? It's been at least a decade since I was in Savannah - beautiful place to walk around. I always thought that early morning B&W shots down in the marketplace would be cool - lots of vendors setting up with all their wares. Great pictures - thanks!

I'm glad you had a chance to visit Savannah, and it sounds like you enjoyed your walk along River Street. That's a great area to visit if you want a break from the everyday routine. I should really go down there more often (as I don't seem to get there much anymore).

If you pay attention to the sample photos in some of our reviews here, you just might find that a few of them were taken on River Street (for example, with the Nikon D300, Sony A850, Sony A33, and Sony NEX-5 to name a few).

It's a great location for photo ops, with boats on the water, lots of interesting shops, taverns, musicians performing outside and inside and more. You'll find lots of really good food in the local restaurants. too.

Of course, since I live in Savannah, perhaps I'm a bit biased.

Anyway, it sounds like you enjoyed yourself while in Savannah. So, please don't be a stranger and visit more often (and please post some more photos if you get a chance).

Thanks for sharing.

Nice looking shots and nice PP work. I think a few could benefit from just a small amount of straightening, just me.
