Default aperture mode

trying out aperture mode to learn something new and get away from P mode. Some pp in LR4 beta and some in photomatix- just for kicks

No harm in experimenting. Mine is a 3-yr old FZ28. If yours is after this, I think you can adjust aperture even from P mode - when you half-press the shutter, a box appears on the screen giving you the aperture and shutter-speed. By operating the joy stick, you can increase or decrease the aperture. The camera will automatically adjust the shutter speed. In fact, I find that except for the P, M and macro modes, the setting dial on the top of the camera is becoming redundant for me, as I never use the other modes. May be I should use?!

those shots were also hand held,, and I def need some practice on that, or adjusting shutter speed. Ive noticed that changing settings with the joy stick/ toggle is not a joy. Id rather turn a wheel. I think FZ150 is like that?.
