Default A day in London

i went to our fine capitol today and all was fine except the typical english weather! sadly as you know, pp is not my strong point, so the only one i heavily atempted to touch up was the Houses of Parliament, shot from the oposite side of the River Thames. i visited the Natural History Museum but flash photography was somewhat frowned on so lighting wasnt at its best and the fz100 spat it's pacifier out as usual! still, some interesting things to see and plenty of mialage on the old adidas today for sure.

regards
john

anyone wishing to see the original parliament shot, feel free to ask if you want to attack it with pp yourself, should my atempts offend the eye lol

you'd love this place then simon. its crammed with dinosaurs, great fosils and animatronics. i got a video of a full size t-rex going nuts for the audiance. was a helluva show. my 6yr old daughter freaked out lol. then went back with her own camera for pictures and video. natural history museum, free admission and enough to keep you busy for over 3 hours no sweat!

Nice shots John. The Natural History Museum looks like a fascinating place.

The Houses of Parliament shot could be greatly improved by just a small straightening and clone out the branches around the frame.

I tried straightening it but think i must have the eyes of marty feldman or something. Not very good at cloning out details with elements. Will be getting cs5 again soon so I'll give it a try then. Thanks for the advice jj

Beautiful pictures and thank you for refresh my memory

I visited London a couple of years ago and the parliament building and the museum of natural history are truly a delight for photographers.

The museum is an incredible place to spend a day with family specially if you have kids... there's so much to learn and to play with

The low light inside is a challange for a small sensor camera specially when using hand-held, increasing ISO and reducing IQ.

You have done a good job
