Default Acorn Woodpecker (FZ35+LT55)





They make little holes in the tree trunk and shove the acorn inside.




The face on the lower bird is really funny!

May be because you caught it in its act! Very nice shots, Saly. I thought woodpeckers are small birds, these look big.

Thank you Raghu, they are a medium size bird, about 20cm from head to tip of tail.

Nice series Saly. I find it hard to get a good shot at woodperkers, they never stop moving.
