It IS oleander for sure, Tullio. We had the plant in my house with beautiful pink flowers and I have even seen the seed capsule, a thin long one about 5-6 inches long and just less than half an inch thick, but unfortunately it did not ripen enough to burst like this. May be what you have is a different variety of oleander.

Well, I've seen many different types of Oleander flower but the plant itself all look identical and I've never seen them produce this type of seed. I'll definitely pay more attention to them next time they start blooming. Perhaps the types we have here in CA are different...

I love it! The colors & the delicate "plumes" of the seed pods make for a very beautiful photo!
