FITCIP- your mod' gives the shot an almost film like texture....

thanks Simon but i feel i have unintentionally pulled attention away from what was already a fantastic shot of a beautiful creature. all i did was run a simple noise reduction program on his fabulous picture and made a small pp adjustment. some will like it with a little grain and others will prefer the image without. i see Steve's point completely, and using the noise reduction program does reduce some of the detail. so its a double edge sword. i didnt want to start a debate on a picture i have no resposibility for. The hard work was done by Steve, i just hit a few buttons

Actually, my work was not all that hard. I shot the picture out an open garage window at essentially point-blank range on a cloudy day and did minimal editing. This was not techically the best of the bunch, just the one I decided to post here. I am attaching a different one below. The yellow is daffodils.

For those who like this sort of thing though, there are quite a few Flickr groups where someone posts a picture, and everyone who wants edits it how they want and posts it back. Good learning experiences. Someone from this forum could start such a group and play the game if they wanted. Good stuff.

Another effortless yet none the less great shot. I wish these finches would cross the pond to England so i could get some tog time on them. What a gorgeous bird and great colours. Well done Steve
