Nice series dear Mary!!
As a constructive suggestion, and not as critical, for the first three photos there is a slight effect of OOF, I suggest you try the next time to use the Spot Metering Mode, in particular when the subject or the image detail is very small. In the last two I have to say that, although the original picture is better, the one with the vignetting has a certain mystical type of charm.

jj-thanks for the tip about spot metering. i will put that to use.

the jesus statue is inside a shed type structure at a local nursery. the shed has pottery, yard statues and the like. sometimes he has a measuring tape, or various accoutrements on or with him. i had been waiting for him to be "free". if i had the bucks i would take him home with me and photograph him in a much better setting.

thanks again for your tips and comments. i love seeing everyone's work and learning as well.
