Default M/V Lee A. Tregurtha, Bluewater Bridge, and other ships

It's been a while since I have been on the forums here. I was in Port Huron today, and it was a beautiful day. Went down to the St. Clair River and spotted a ship going by. Glad I had my camera! Hope you like the photos! I took a video, too, which I post at the end.

Here's the Lee A. Tregurtha heading south. Behind the ship if the Bluewater Bridge. The mouth of the St. Clair River starts there. Behind the ship is Lake Huron.

Notice the war ribbons on the pilothouse. The ship was a T3 tanker in WWII (USS Chiwawa). After the war it was converted to a bulk carrier.

Here's the stern.

Here's a shot of just the Bluewater Bridge.

I don't know why I took this shot. Just wanted to take a picture of the water.

Here's some boats on the Canadian side of the river.

Here's a truck going across the the bridge. I didn't notice what kind it was until I got home. It is the International Lonestar. I think it looks like a big PT Cruiser.

On the way home from Port Huron I saw some other ships out in the Lake. Here is the Algosoo heading north on Lake Huron off Lexington, MI.

Here's the Ojibway heading south, meeting the Algosoo heading north.

I noticed this little boat on the water and took a shot of it.

Here's the video I took of the Lee A. Tregurtha. It was quite windy. Sorry about the wind noise. I was hoping the FZ35 would pick up the engine noises.

Again, I hope you like the photos!

Here's a couple extra photos I took. The forum cut me off at 12.

This is the Manitowoc heading south on Lake Huron off Lexington.

Lastly I saw this tugboat and barge heading north off Harbor Beach.

Interesting and informative series. Enjoyed it. Is the water really that color? Last I was up near the Great Lakes, they were rather a dull, muddy gray.

Thanks. The water really was that color today. It almost looked kind of tropical.

It certainly looks like the bridge is appropriately named!
