Default Bad replacement battery for FZ35

I had purchased a non-factory (Lenmar) spare battery for my FZ35 about 3 months ago through Amazon. The brand had gotten good reviews so I thought I was safe, but it just stopped taking a charge. Amazon's return period was one month. Lenmar claims to have a 3-year warranty but wants $7.50 handling charge which is absurd for a $13 item. So this will go to the trash can, and I will post bad reviews in as many places as I can find.

I hear ya but really asking you to pay shipping on a warranty replacement is pretty standard policy. The fact they are willing to send you a new one at all to me is pretty good. I'd spend the $7.50... just me. I had this happen with a wasabi battery, I got two for $24 or something and one doesn't hold a charge anymore after 5 months, the other is just fine. The merchant offered to send me a replacement for $6 shipping, I felt this was fair and took the offer.

Camera manufacturers don't miss you when it comes to accessories!
Many are now making cameras which will only take genuine batteries.

I always used Lenmar replacement batteries for cameras prior to the FZ150, and went through at least a dozen over the years. Only one was bad when received and was replaced by Amazon. The others wore out over time. I consider them the best of after-market battery companies. Sorry you got an imperfect one.
