Default Just For Fun Fireflies

Although every now and then I get a good one, I do this more for the thrill of the chase than anything else. These are all flash shots at dusk in the back yard when the fireflies start rising up from the vegetation. FZ150 and LC55.

Nice shots. The first one looks like he is about to land somewhere.

Actually, he had just taken off. I usually catch them as/if they hesitate a bit after taking off. When landing they waste no time and shots are highly unlikely.

How wonderful Steve! We don't have these where I live. #1 just made me laugh! So cute. With all those dragonflies and fireflies, you must live in a pretty buggy place....

Thanks. Some years the bugs include mosquitoes and it is not as much fun to be out at dusk, but it is so dry this year they are absent.

Thanks Alex. And jj, do it. Lot's of fun as long as you don't mind the neighbors thinking you are strange.
