Default waterbirds closer than usual.

these young ducks were being taught some valuable aquatic lessons by their mother and whilst taking a breather on the riverbank, i was able to sneak up close, about 10 feet and snap a few shots before mother ordered them back into the water.
the swan was a different matter. he was very patiently waiting for me to feed him the last of my bread i had hanging in a bag on my tripod sandbag hook. i duely obliged and he posed for me up close, just a few feet away. i took this and a couple more before realising my butt was soaked through from sitting on the riverbank that i thought wasnt that wet at all. it was an uncomfortable drive home lol

They are indeed nice and close. I always keep plastic bags in the car to line the seat as needed when I get wet, which happens fairly often.
