Many thanks Lyn and congratulations for your new FZ150, this image was made in shutter priority mode, 1/800 - 100ISO - F5.2 +3EV - Burst mode 5.5AF 600mm and tripod

I understand your confusion Grounded, when I photograph subjects with so low time (1/800-1/1000-1/1200) and I want to keep ISO so low (100 or 200) if you half press the shutter release and watch the histogram, you can see if that exposure is correct (depends on how much light has the subject) I forgot one important thing, you should put the center spot metering. You experiment with a video preview of the shot for any corrections of the parameters!

Thanks so much. Good to know the 600mm takes such awesome shots. I'm at Heron State Park in NM and want to get some shots of some juvenile ospreys just getting ready to fly. Hopefully I can get my new FZ150 to fit on my tripod.
