According to Cnet, they are thinking August/September due to past release dates. And it looks like in anticipation of the FZ200 Unique Photo has dropped the price of the FZ150 to $325

Yes, with the exception of the DMW-LA5. It shows the FZ200 will take the DMW-LA7 adaptor.

I currently own a FZ40 and on my recent trip to the jungle it was evident that in an evergreen forest, even during broad day light a faster lens will be necessary. And with the FZ200 I think panasonic has really hit the right tones. But I think I will wait a little longer(it may be years I think) for the image quality of the small sensor to improve and for features like weather sealing, GPS, and perhaps even faster aperture!

With modern technical wizardry its okay to dream guess.......

Good idea but I hope you are very young because if you wait for the perfect camera you'll wait forever, because as soon as it comes out their will be an even better one due out soon.
I know because I have been upgrading cameras since the 1950s.
But the good news is I can still take rubbish pictures lol.
That little boy in my avatar is me taken with my Mothers Brownie box camera just at the end of WW2. I've got some really nice old photo's she took with it.Amazingly some of them look good enlarged.

"my Mothers Brownie box camera just at the end of WW2."

This brings back memories! I still have my mother's Brownie box camera that took all the pictures of my childhood. She paid a whopping 89 Cents for it, in the 40's!

I too have my mother's box brownie but it hasn't been used in years and is still in its original carry bag.

You are correct, there is no right time for buying a new camera, and it will be foolish to wait for a better camera as in a matter of months it will be old and there will be a better one on the line, that's why I bought the FZ40 instead of FZ100 as I felt that it offered everything I would need, but after using it, I have become greedy and have started to ask more. So will wait a little longer and will update my FZ40 only after buying a good DSLR probably the Nikon D7000 replacement
