Very nice, crisp image of the butterfly. I don't know why you cropped so close. I would have left a little more grass to the top and right.

This is a Buckeye Butterfly. Last season, I saw two of them, this season, only one. And, it was beat up, light was not good, so no good pics from this year. This is one from 2011.

I understand the "eyes" on the wings are for deceiving predictors.

Nice Jim (and Roger). These Buckeyes are extremely rare around here.
