What a beauty, my guess is you were a long way from him? therefore not as sharp as you would like. Nothing you can do about it.

What a majestic creature!! How close were you? I'd be a little nervous getting too close!

It looks as though he's say, "I dare you to come closer!" Beautiful buck! During rutting season, a buck is definitely not approachable; but zooms are wonderful!

Thanks Grounded. I think low light + wet deer + distance = soft. Added a little better one.

Amazing how the can run swiftly through the forest without getting their antlers caught in the trees, I think your second one is the best, lucky you were upwind of him JJ.

Thanks Grounded. I did catch a glimpse of him a couple days ago and he had lost some of his antlers, probably from fighting.
