Default Stratosphere, Las Vegas

Had been to this place last month. It's a tower soaring 350m high. The view from the 108th floor is stunning. What's more exciting is the thrill rides they offer at this height - the heart-stopping X-scream car ride that tumbles down in the open at that height, and the Big Shot that shoots you up another 100 ft in the sky, supposed to be the tallest thrill ride in the world.
A few pics.

The tower

A view of the circular 108th floor

A view of the city through the glass

Another view, of the layout of Las Vegas

Excitement still on their face, as the car is lifted after being slided down on the rack

Can you see those tied to their chairs, almost at the top of the world in LV?

Another view of a glittering high rise in LV.

Thanks Alex and KWolf.
Wolf - Not at all, pl keep them, I enjoyed re-living LV, thanks for posting these.
Yes, we were loitering around till about 10pm (with my grandchild around), but not at the elevation of the Stratosphere. I do have some night pictures, but mostly of buildings from ground level - will post them in a separate thread.

Thanks Jim. Yes, it was my first visit to the US. My son-in-law has been posted to Phoenix. I took the opportunity to spend some time with my daughter and grand-daughter there, and visit nearby places - Las Vegas, Los Angeles, California and the Grand Canyon. Though short, it was a memorable trip.

What did you think of the Grand Canyon?

Las Vegas and the area around it is fantastic for photography, Grand Canyon, Valley of Fire, Death Valley, Hoover Dam, Red Rock, not to mention a few ground zero's around the place!!

Nice pics, the Stratosphere is the best place for shooting the whole of Vegas.
