Default Just an insect

Have been scarse here; my apologies. I have a compressed fracture of a disc in my back, so haven't been doing much of anything.

However, I did manage to capture this little one today. Don't know what it is.

Taken with full zoom, handheld.

Thanks JJ; I'm glad to know what it is; I didn't think there were any around here. So glad I saw him, & was able to get these images of him!

Yes, that is a beautiful dragonfly, and well captured too. Sorry to learn you were out of action for some time. Get well soon and post more photos!

What a beautiful shot of a dragonfly, Carol! I sure hope you are feeling better soon (compression fracture of the disc sounds painful......) Anyway I think these are wonderful, nice detail and an interesting plant he is perched on.

Thank you Saly! That's a Sunflower bud that he's perched on. I was delighted to know they are around here, as I'd never seen one.

Yes, this compressed fracture has been the most painful thing I've ever had, and it's going on 7 weeks!
