Took a brief pit stop from my morning bike ride to admire these Welsh beauties...

Opened the thread expecting to see a music band, but these are music to the eyes too! That small engine is cute! Is something missing there, it looks only half, without the coal compartment.

Indeed... where does one put the coal..?

Brilliant pictures!

Welsh Pony would normally have a small tender for coal when in use.
The big engines were brought back to Wales from South Africa having been built in Manchester (UK) originally.
I'll put my railway anorak away now!
