Default Why has the forum become silent?

I find that activity in the forum has considerably reduced all of a sudden. Any reason? Where has everyone gone? Would like to see more pictures of others here!

Raghu, I've definitely noticed that also! I do so enjoy your photos, so please continue posting. But it seems that posting has dwindled considerably here.

G'day mate

the weather ... busy-ness at home ... busy-ness with work ... not in the mood
yes - it could be any of 1/2-dozen things

I agree with Carol too

I suspect everyone is charging around in their "pre-christmas" madness mode...maybe..?
Working like nutters to pay for the festivities...?
Maybe less than favorable weather and the shorter nights have an impact also...
Never mind- post Christmas will see many new cameras being put through their paces..!

Thanks Simon for the hope expressed. It's quite long since we saw frequent posters such as Steve, Alex, Saly, John.. Or have they graduated to dSLR? I don't know.

I just rolled a bowling ball thru this forum, and didn't hit anyone!

Where are all our photo friends?

I confess to be one of the silent ones. My work schedule ramped up in April, and the Summer was a packed work schedule. I did some shooting, but only what I needed to do for my business.

Other years, I have spent much time with Iris, Lilies, and other flowers. Also, the last couple of years, I spent much time shooting insects, butterflies, bees. I just had to ignore the flower season. The butterfly population in my area was very bad. For some species, no sightings. Others, I had very limited sightings. In one sense, having little choice to shoot butterflies gave me a sense of guilt relief, ... in a twisted way!

I do have some sparse shots. Now that my work schedule has been reduced to zero, perhaps I can scan my images to see if there are a few worth posting. I do know that I have some sessions with deer, but I don't think many are noteworthy.

I am not sure if I am the John you mentioned, Raghu, but I am very guilty of being absent for quite a while. I have looked in at this forum occasionally, but I have not had much time to contribute anything, even comments ! I have been recovering from a couple of operations.

One bit of news is that I have now got DMW-LC55 for my FZ150. Unfortunately it is now winter, with an absence of bugs or flowers, I do not have much subject matter to try it out on !
I would not contemplate graduating to a DSLR, actually I started with a DSLR and graduated to bridge cameras

Yes John, it was you. I know many others not named in my post are missing too, but yours was one among those that immediately came to my mind as I was writing. Glad you responded. Would be nice to see your posts. How are your hibiscus plants doing?
