Default Kumbalgarh

This is a fort in Rajasthan, and also the birthplace of Maharana Prathap, popular king and warrior of Mewar. Built in 15th century, this is an impressive structure. The experience of viewing the sunset from the top is exhilarating. Don't miss the last photograph!

The full view:

One of the temples:

Excuse the crowd (I should not have gone then), the impressive walls of the fort:

Part of the huge and long wall, as seen from the inside:

They say you can even see the dunes of the far away desert from here on clear days.

Tourists enjoying the misty heights and view from the top.

Sunset!

Proof of FZ28's capability: A group of temples several kilometers away!

Strange plants:

Count them if you can (find)!

It's time for me to take some rest now, so... ... I take this opportunity to wish you all ..

C&C most welcome!

What a most beautiful & very special place, Raghu! I'm very glad that you shared it with us thru your photos!

The birds are very well camouflaged, arn't they?

Thanks Carol, for looking and I am glad you liked these photos. For the distance involved in shooting those birds, that shot I think has come well.
