Default Monarchs in Flight

After promising to participate more, I've already fallen behind!!

Here's a few Monarch Butterflies in flight. I spent a couple of hours shooting these, which was really very difficult. I looked for them on a flower, then focused on it and waited until it took off, then fired away in burst. After a couple of hours I got only a handful of keepers.....

Very nice shots, Saly. I particularly like the last one, where even the plant and flowers are in good focus.

A tricky subject Saly... with shallow DOF and erratically moving targets making life difficult.
Your persistence paid off...!
