Default Egyptian Goose

Taken in a local Park - very windy day with gale predicted for the afternoon onwards.
As I was leaving I saw a few Egyptian Geese near the water’s edge. Then I noticed this one - with a back feather lifted by a gust of wind.
The original has been cropped down both sides - overall by about 20%.

Very colorful feathers the bird has got. As Jim said, would have been nice had it shown its face!

Thank you for the comments. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get a front view of the birds - but, in my defence I offer the following: The birds were standing on the very edge of the quayside (check the photo!) - had I ventured in front of them - I would have been in very deep water - I can’t swim - and my camera's not waterproof!

I can assure you that the lovely colouring on the back of the bird (the reason I took the photo) - was much more interesting than the front!

Agree on both points. Overall, it is indeed a nice photo.

Thank you, Raghu, for your kind words! I have just revisited my file of photos taken that day - and found the other photo I took of those geese - which might interest you!

That day, I was taking a number of “snaps” - just recording anything of interest. I had decided that my camera had a fault - and I was trying to prove it. Of course, there was nothing wrong with the camera - it was the photographer's imagination!
