Default FZ50 back from the dead?

This sort of looks like a belated but very welcome successor to the Lumix FZ50.I regard that as in many ways my first proper camera and look back on it with great affection.Obviously everything has moved on a bit since then but the various Panasonic super zooms that followed really did not fit the bill, and of course in common with many others I graduated from that camera to DSLR.This new model is a big beast but looks highly tempting,if a touch expensive (though cheap compared to the Sony RX10)

Default Lumix DMC-FZ1000 Review

After Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10, Lumix DMC-FZ1000 is first big zoom camera with large sensor. It offers 1-type, 20.1MP CMOS sensor, longer zoom lens. It is the first compact camera that support 4K video recording.

My first Lumix was the DMC-15 than then DMC-30 (I still use them for snapshots.)
I couldn't wait any longer for Pano to come out with a large sensor, so I went to a Sony R!.
Now it looks like I can come back to Panasonic !
