"One more thing, all these were shot in RAW then converted using Adobe Photoshop CS new RAW PlugIn. I am gonna try shooting JPG next time. When you shoot in RAW mode, the camera writes a .RAW file (9.44MB) and a Standard Quality JPG (Full Size) which is usually around 1MB (so one RAW shot = 10.5MB!) But I am not going to stop shooting RAW because of file size, but because when I compare the results, the camera JPGs were better in MANY situations, in terms of noise."

So what you're saying is that if you compress an image there is more noise?

no, i am saying that the DEFAULT settings of Adobe PhotoShop CS is!

I have played with PS CS since, and have found a way to get the RAW converted files to look as clean as the in-camera JPG.

So is there a problem with the PS plug-in? I would have to assume this was supplied by Panasonic. How did you get around the conversion issue?
