Default My New FZ200

Just got this today - early birthday present. Lots to learn still. Taken in my garden. Unfortunately the Lily was eaten by a Lily Beetle so probably no flowers this year but the little yellow and black bug caught my eye. None taken on macro as need a step up ring.

Comments to improve always welcome.

Thank you both, I am enjoying it and finding it easier to use too compared to the 38. Much to learn still though. On this camera I like using manual mode.

Congratulations with the new camera Eysha, and an early birthday greeting from over here in Denmark.
You have a good camera there.
Seems like I have some bee competition !

Lovely pics.
Photo No. 4 is my favourite, so sharp !

Ah ha Eysha !!

Gotcha yerself an FZ200 - I am envious - coz they're great cameras

Remember also - if you pop the flash for the bee shots, the shutter speed effectively is the speed of the flash, so you can now get very fast speeds to freeze the motion of the wings ~ but it looks like you need to keep it a secret from John J in Denmark or else his pics will become as good as yours ...

Uhm... he told me about burst flash shooting a few weeks ago
I haven't had a chance to really try it out yet
I can recommend burst shooting, bees seem to be somewhat hyper active. I found my FZ150 took very good pics if I upped the ISO value to 800 and shot at very high shutter speeds. I expected more noise, but it was no different to when it is on ISO 100. It is fun experimenting.

I have also just had an early birthday present, a FZ 70/72, I took it out for a spin a couple of days ago and yesterday. More about that in another thread soon.

Here's one of the random test shots from yesterday. I have slightly cropped it as a couple of lavender flowers were the main subject, the bee just happened to land in the right place at the right time Apart from cropping and re-sizing no other photo editing/enhancing has been done.
Original photo size 3072 x 2034, P mode, focal length (35mm equiv.)= 471mm, ISO 320, 1/1000, f/5,6

Oh nice shot. No time to myself today but must try the burst mode as you suggest and Phil's suggestion too.
All suggestions to get better shots much appreciated.
