Default Stuck lens on FZ70

Well, The lens is stuck on my FZ70! First camera I've ever had that failed.

Yeah Phil, I've absolutely loved it; but this is indeed a major worry. It is still under warranty, luckily; but I don't know how long it will be for it to be returned; and then hoping it doesn't happen again.

I take exceptional care of my equipment, so this is a real shocker.

Is the camera giving you any error codes?

JJ, no error codes. Matter of fact, it successfully took a picture, and that's when I discovered the lens would not move any longer.

Does the lens move when you turn the camera on/off?

The lens moves very slightly; however when shutting it off, the lens does not retract completely back in the camera.

I reckon today must be a gremlin day after reading your post and Mario's.

Such a pity this had to happen to you Carol. My fingers are crossed that it will be properly repaired under the warrenty and that it will be done promptly (otherwise I will get severely cramped fingers !).

Have you tried using gentle pressure on the front of the lens when you turn it off?
