Default Orb Spider

I think this is an Orb Spider - and is the underside of the critter! Taken in dull, early morning UK light! First attempt at close-up!

For a first attempt, this is very good, though a little noisy at ISO 400. Orb spiders (and many other spiders) are known to eat their web and build a new one every few days, so watch for a good web formation as well.

Thanks for the comment - appreciated. It was, of course, the camera's decision to use that setting, not mine! I'm learning - but v-e-r-y slowly!

Very nice catch of the spider.

I use this sometimes to smooth a background, it's free.

That is a very good first attempt ! (Even though I am scared of spiders, I forced myself to look )
I'm still learning too even after 1 years, also very slowly, but I've enjoyed every minute.
