I was wondering before going out to spend some extra $$$ for an external flash, I was wondering if my Maxxum 3500xi flash would work for this Panasonic I just bought?!

I am using an Olympus FL-40 flashgun with the FZ10 without any problems, although before using the flashgun I checked the trigger voltage etc at the following website:-

It would appear from the listing for the Maxxum 3500xi on the above site that it should also be ok with the FZ10, but you test it at your own risk! :|

Before you use that 3500xi, remember that it is closely tied into the automation of the camera... the two work as a system. In fact, I can't remember if the flash even has a manual setting. And, if I remember correctly, the flash has a non-standard foot that fits only Minolta cameras.

It may be that this is not your best choice for use with the FZ10.

Hope this helps.

Bob
