What size in mb should one get using the FZ10. I am only getting 800 to 1.8 MB size pictures. Depending on the picture taken.

Have the image size at 2304 x1728. Have tried both quality size.

Makes no difference. Using a Lexar 256 MB card.

That seems fine. I get 1.1 to 1.7MB files with everything at the highest settings. There will always be some compression with JPEG (no RAW capabilities), but I'd guess the photos look fine.

You will see several complaints on the board about having a relatively low quality JPG as the best quality the camera will deliver. My little 4Mp Pentax S4 for example gives 2.5–2.8 Mb images. It is just the compression Panasonic elected to put on the camera.

If you look at Steve's sample pictures they are in the range you give.
