I think the first shot would have been better taken from the side, but who could possibly fault the second one?

this is like everyday, my cat goes to get a drink out of the sink ... so I had to get a pic of her doing this...

LOL! I love the pic of the cat! I have dogs, and pets make the best subjects, don't they.

Beautiful pic of your daughter - you should be proud! My kids love the digicam, for the immediate feedback of getting to see the shot.

I think the first picture would be much better using manual white balance on a piece of white paper or a white wall, the second is great!
