Klaas, a while back, when I first got my FZ10, I saved a link to a site where you show a strip of paper which is to assist with manual focus in low light.

However, now that I'm at the point where I'm understanding the camera more and branching out, and I looked at the strip of paper, I don't understand the numbers.

"3m" makes sense (3 meters?), but what would be 3x3 and 3x6-12?

It looks like an awesome tool, and I appreciate your doing it.

Hi Cageyman,

3x3 means 3 metres at 3x zoom, but you can make your scale to your own preferences. You willfind the complete article in the FZ10 Rough Guide here:

http://www.users.bigpond.com/vkelim/DMCFZ10/node94.html

Just click on the Photodex images to see the scale I've made.

D'oh! That makes sense! Thanks for the link, Klaas. Pretty cool, and I can use your idea to make different marks. Nice thinking!

Now if we can just get infinity focus :-)
